Holy Shelter

Holy Shelter

Holy Shelter

It was one of those moments when you know something isn’t alright, the soul craves to speak to the Father. It’s that long walk by ocean shores, praying that He hears me.

Fears steal joy!

For longer walks I usually don’t carry a backpack filled with entire camera equipment, but today I heard a small voice inside me, “Take everything with you!”

The walk was so beautiful, backpack heavy on my back. Thinking about the heavy stuff loaded on our backs, packed on, heavy burdens that rob the soul from joy. Are we packing the load harder then we should?

Warm sunlight bakes on skin, the heart now speaks…

Knowing that the upcoming move will uproot me from the sea, the place I still hear the voices of my off-springs play in sun-kissed sand. The waves are rolling in, with each receding wave the water hisses as it fills the small holes beneath my feet.

While walking with feet touching the water, a butterfly flat on its side. Dead!

So it seemed…

“Abba, I pray your promises, I will miss this place.” Praying bold prayers for I trust in Him, I trust in His ways and demand prayers to be answered. No, not mine, but always His. I pray over His will for my life, His prayers for me to be answered.

“Follow Me”, He said. Seeing a big future in front of my eyes. “Lord, have your way in me!”

Bending down to check on this pitiful butterfly, “Are you okay little guy”, I said out loud.

One tiny leg began to move slowly, I picked it up before the next wave rolls in, right over its fragile exhausted body.

Thoughts arise of the exhaustion of the past four years. Deaths, fear, loss, failure, defeat, depleted, empty, and a face that aged twice the speed, so it seemed.

So much to be done, the house, the separation, the body needs rest, fear wants to creep in.

I know you’ve been there too…

We are meant for so much more, if we only let Him have His way in us.

It looked frail, still on its side. Sat down in the sand, holding it in my hand, “rest my sweet one, rest”!

Sheltering it to recover this tiny beauty, its world been shaken, covered it laid there with sand.

My hand slowly touching its fragile wings, dusting off the sand, the sun drying its wings.

I am just an ordinary girl, this country is not even my home-land. Fear telling me, I am just an ordinary girl with wrong English grammar, fuzzy thick tongue when she tries to speak. The past is catching up with me. How can I be a fishers of men? I am nothing, right? My world has been shaken.

I know yours has been too at times…

Slowly the tiny creature recovered, walked within my cup shaped hand. Still resting in its shelter, it stretched its wings, and off it flew. “Farewell my little friend, keep flying”!

“Come, follow Me! I make you fishers of men.” I wonder often what were the fishermen thoughts when the Lord walked up to them, looked them in the eyes with a soft smile. “Come, follow Me!”

My soul filled with joy, Abba speaking to me today. When fear and exhaustion creep in, He holds out His hands and takes us into His Holy Shelter. His tender care, His finger brushing off any stain that is not for us. The son shines on our wings to make us fly. So patiently He waits, sheltering His children.

And when the time is ripe, He places us on His finger, “Are you ready to fly?”

“Go my child, make fishers of men! And at any time you need, come to the Holy Shelter!”

Mark 6:31a

Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile.” (NLT)

Matthew 4:19

And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (ESV)

Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding. (NLT)

The Challenge

E Pluribus Unum

E Pluribus Unum describes an action: Many uniting into one. An accurate translation of the motto is "From Many, One" or Out of Many, One" – a phrase that captures the symbolism on the shield.

1 Timothy 2:1-3

The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live. (MSG)

1 Timothy 2:1-3

First of all, I encourage you to make petitions, prayers, intercessions, and prayers of thanks for all people, for rulers, and for everyone who has authority over us. Pray for these people so that we can have a quiet and peaceful life always lived in a godly and reverent way. This is good and pleases God our Savior. (GW)

With the Harvest Moon approaching, so is the 40 day prayer challenge.  Many uniting into one, we too can do this through our prayers.

Change Washington with petition, prayers, and discipleship.

Please come along and pray to our Holy God for our President, members of Congress, the Senate, and other elected officials.

For the next 40 days we will be praying and sending encouraging Scriptures to our President.

For the next 40 days restrain to post any political pictures via social media, restrain from any political debates, or use unkind words regarding your political believes.

For the next 40 days be in prayer, send encouraging Scriptures to the White House,  and intercede with prayers regardless of your political allegiance.

Pray Scriptures out loud, pray for wisdom and that the President accepts wise counsel,  pray for direction in making the right decisions, protection, strength, and endurance.

Give, equip, and encourage with Godly counsel! Use Holy Scriptures, pray them, send them out, and believe!

Prayer:

James 5:16

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (NLT)

Pray as you have the power within you. Pray for wonderful results.

Petition:

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.(NIV)

Make the request known to God, He wants to hear from you.

Plead and intercede:

Romans 8:34

Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. (NLT)

Plead and intercede for someone else, just as Christ has done for you. This includes the heads of state and others in authority.

Write a letter to the President Instructions:

Here are a few simple things you can do to make sure your message gets to the White House as quickly as possible.

1. If possible, email us! This is the fastest way to get your message to President Obama.
2. If you write a letter, please consider typing it on an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of paper. If you hand-write your letter, please consider using pen and writing as neatly as possible.
3. Please include your return address on your letter as well as your envelope. If you have an email address, please consider including that as well.
4. And finally, be sure to include the full address of the White House to make sure your message gets to us as quickly and directly as possible:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Be the Daniel in Babylonia! This is your Babylon!

Daniel 4:34-37

“But at the end of that time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven and my understanding returned to me. And I gave thanks to the Most High and praised and honored Him Who lives forever. For His nation lasts forever, and His rule is for all people for all time. All the people of the earth are thought of as nothing. He does as He pleases with the angels of heaven and the people of the earth. No one can hold back His hand or say to Him, ‘What have You done?’ At that time my understanding returned to me. And my honor and power were returned to me for the greatness of my nation. My wise men and my leaders began looking for me, and I was made king again, with even more greatness added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and honor the King of heaven. For all His works are true and His ways are right. And He is able to bring down those who walk in pride.” (NLV)

His Dream

It’s Saturday morning and much is to be done. Trying to pack, sort out all that is to be kept and to be sold. Life taking place soon in another place.

A different dream I haven’t dreamed, but God has His dream for us.

The air feels nice this morning, sipping on coffee, and yes I switched back to caffeine. I surely don’t want to try that decaf again, only to be in pain for the next twelve hours.

I don’t want to pack today…

I don’t want to…

I am wanting to chase, hunt, and find God.

Yellow Butterfly2

All those beautiful Love Notes  He leaves behind.

Feeling blessed knowing God has a dream for us. Trusting that the new journey will be a blessing.

I keep chasing God, keeping up with Him as He walks ahead…

To chase means to catch up with!

Yellow Butterfly1

Take it all in, even your current troubles. Open your eyes wide, hunt for His Love Notes.

Let go of thy present benefits and comforts; to receive future blessings.
~Until She Flies

Let Go!

Don’t be troubled my child, trust in my dream for you. Trust that I have great love for you. Do you hear me child as I speak to you? Do you know I am your friend? Do you know I love you so much? Can you see me?

I am all around you, right in front of you! Speak to me, come to me, see me.

Yellow Butterflies

Isaiah 55:8-9

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and My ways are not your ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (NLV)

Psalm 139:1-6

O Lord, You have looked through me and have known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up. You understand my thoughts from far away. You look over my path and my lying down. You know all my ways very well. Even before I speak a word, O Lord, You know it all. You have closed me in from behind and in front. And You have laid Your hand upon me. All You know is too great for me. It is too much for me to understand. (NLV)
